One person suffered smoke inhalation after their house was engulfed by fire in the Bay of Plenty.
Northern fire communications spokesman Jaron Philips said volunteer firefighters were called to the house on Dunlop Rd in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, shortly before 12pm today.
"The house is well involved in fire. It's a single storey dwelling."
He said ambulances had been called to the property as a patient had smoke inhalation.
He said the information showed the person had made it out, and hadn't had to be rescued from the fire.
