Three people were injured when a chartered bus and a car collided near Wanganui and left the bus perched close to a steep ravine today.
The collision happened about 9am on a sharp corner of an isolated road near Parakino, 25km northeast of Wanganui.
The Palmerston North-based Square Trust Rescue Helicopter was called to airlift paramedics to the scene.
One person from the car was taken to Wanganui Hospital by road with suspected head and back injuries, a Square Trust statement said.
Two bus passengers received minor leg injuries and were also taken by road to the hospital.
