Once again, it will be easier to get a speeding ticket this Christmas.
Police will be enforcing a lowered speed tolerance over an extended holiday period, with action taken against any driver found driving more than 4 km/h over the limit.
Superintendent Carey Griffiths, national road policing manager, said the police will be enforcing the reduced tolerance from today through to January 7.
"The way that the holidays fall this year, we believe that a lot of people will be travelling from Friday the 21st and taking the Monday off."
