A 57-year-old Lower Hutt man has been found guilty of eight historical sex abuse charges by a jury in Wellington District Court.
The man, who has name suppression, was found guilty of incidents between April 1992 and August 1999 including two counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 12, and two counts of indecent assault on a girl over 12 and under 16.
The jurors, seven women and five men, found him not guilty of one charge of attempted sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection.
Judge Denys Barry refused to grant the man bail and said a prison sentence was inevitable.
He remanded the man in custody pending sentencing on November 30.
