A youth who broke into a Turangi house and prepared a bedroom for a romantic tryst has been convicted of burglary.
Karlos Pokaia, 18, of Rotorua, admitted breaking into the house, "preparing" one of the bedrooms and taking his girlfriend back there to have sex. Before they left, Pokaia stole two bottles of wine, a petty cash tin full of money and a key to the house.
He was remanded on bail for sentencing on April 29.
