Love, Actually: Sisters together again

Auckland Airport is the scene of thousands of welcomes as Kiwis return to spend time with their families at Christmas. We present some of these magic moments.

Lacey Palmer, 24, was met by her sister Eden Hafner, 21, at Auckland International Airport:

So where have you travelled from today?

Lacey: Melbourne, Australia.

And are you coming home for Christmas?

LP: Yes, coming home to New Zealand for Christmas. I live in Melbourne.

How long have you been there for?

LP: I guess like 10 years. But I come home every Christmas to New Zealand.

Have you got plans for Christmas?

LP: Family.

EH: Go down to Tauranga.

LP: Go down to family, yea.

So you're not from Auckland?

LP: We live in Auckland, but originally from Tauranga. So we'll go down there, it'll be nice.

Are you excited?

LP: Yeah [laughs]. It's just family Christmas every year. I mean it's good to see family because I only see them once a year, but yeah, it's nice.
