Streaking ahead of the competition, South Wairarapa's Pain & Kershaw took the title of the luckiest Lotto shop in Wairarapa in 2011.
The Martinborough shop ended up with nearly $3 million won, far ahead of the $364,000 won by Masterton's Kuripuni Lotto and Post Shop.
It has been a long time coming - owner David Kershaw has been a Lotto franchisee since the first Lotto draw back in 1987.
"We've just had a great year with the shop," Mr Kershaw said. "It's a really good feeling to sell a big one.
"We've been extremely lucky."
