Kaikoura has another $2.7 million to help it rebuild after being hit hard by the devastating earthquake last month.
Meanwhile the country's newest millionaire is yet to come forward.
The $2.7m profit made from last night's Lotto draw are being donated to help the people of Kaikoura and the surrounding regions.
Lotto NZ chief executive Wayne Pickup said along with the $2.7 million donation to Kaikoura raised from the hundreds of thousands of tickets purchased, another 60,000 people won prizes in last night's draw.
"Caring about our communities and each other is part of the Kiwi way of life and it was heart-warming to see Lotto players really embrace this special draw to help the people of Kaikoura.
