KEY POINTS:
A dedicated Tauranga Lotto player has claimed last weekend's first division prize.
The winner of $507,768 said she had played the game since the beginning. She bought her golden ticket last week at Chadwick Stationery, Gifts and Lotto on Chadwick Rd, Tauranga.
"I've played since day one, and have had a couple of biggish wins, but this is unbelievable," she said.
Meanwhile, dairy farmers in Waihi who won the Strike Four prize of $166,126 say the extent of their splurging will be a romantic Valentine's Day dinner.
"We're share farmers, so it has been a tough time with dairy prices and the weather, so this will make such a huge difference to our lives," the woman said. "We're not going to go crazy with the money. We've got so many priorities we have to think about it."
