Lost primary student found in Waitakeres

A search and rescue mission in the Waitakere Ranges in west Auckland has been called off after a schoolchild was found safe and well.

Police said the Don Buck Primary School pupil was separated from the school group about 3.30pm today.

Just as police were gearing up for the search the child was located just before 4pm.
