You're in for a wait if you fancy Lamborghini's latest offering, even if you win Lotto's $28 million bonanza this weekend.
Lamborghini's new Aventador LP700-4 is already sold out for more than a year, despite the fact that the carmaker isn't due to start deliveries to customers until July.
In line with its famous logo, the firm is bullish about its prospects for the coming year. Alongside the new Aventador, the Gallardo range has been bolstered by the Spyder Performante, which joins the Superleggera, LP 560-4 coupe, Spyder and the LP 550-2 coupe.
Last year Lamborghini delivered 1302 cars to customers worldwide, down from 1515 the previous year. However the carmaker is expecting a much better year in 2011, as it predicts sales in its traditional markets of the United States and Europe to recover from the recession.
Lamborghini did see 150 per cent growth in China last year, so strong sales there are also expected.
Long wait for Lambo's raging new Aventador
