Weather conditions over the next three months are likely to be "near average", the National Climate Centre says.
Temperatures were expected to be near average in the North Island and Marlborough but average or below average for the rest of the country from November to January, National Institute of Weather and Atmospheric Research (Niwa) principal scientist James Renwick said.
Rainfall would be within the normal range for most regions but sea surface temperatures were likely to be below average, he said.
River flows and soil moisture would to be normal or below normal in all regions.
