KEY POINTS:
British police investigating the murder of New Zealander Cathy Marlow have taken a second person into custody.
Inquiry head Detective Superintendent Simon Morgan says a 38-year-old south London man is being held for questioning. He has not been charged and is currently undergoing a forensic examination.
Yesterday, a 28-year-old man held over the killing was released without charge. Mr Morgan said police cannot reveal any more information at the moment.
The Marlow family said they do not want to comment on the latest development.
The Hawke's Bay 28-year-old was found dead on Saturday night in a shower at her work in London by a friend.
That friend, a 28-year-old man, called police about 9.30pm and was later arrested but has since been released without charge.
Detective Superintendent Simon Morgan, Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said earlier today: "The investigation continues to progress well, with officers working on a number of new lines of inquiry, that is envisaged will lead to the identification of the person or persons responsible for Catherine's murder.
"I would like to assure members of the public that all efforts are being concentrated on identifying her killer."
