A logging truck collided with a car carrying a 5-month-old baby on a busy Northland road, police say.
Constable Dawn Bestwick said both vehicles were heading north when the crash happened about 11.30am yesterday.
Ms Bestwick said the car had stopped on State Highway 1 and was indicating to turn right into Saleyards Rd.
A logging trucked then pulled to the left and collided with the back, left-hand side of the car, she said.
A 5-month-old baby was in the car and was transported to hospital as a precaution but was not injured, Ms Bestwick said.
