Five gold and eight silver medals were the Wairarapa haul at the New Zealand Masters Athletics Championships in Wellington last week.
Competing in the women's 40-44 years division, Andrea Williams won gold in the 800m, 1500m and 400m hurdles, and silver in the 100m, 200m and 400m.
Noted middle distance runner Tony Price contested the men's 55-60 years grade, winning gold over 10,000m and 1500m, and silver in the 800m and 5000m.
A relative newcomer to field events, Gaylene van Wijk won silver in the shot put, discus and hammer throw.
