The Friends of O'Connor's Bush, in Soldiers Memorial Park, Greytown, are inviting the public to go down and learn a little history this weekend with an open day.
The open day will have guided tours every hour, a sausage sizzle and activities for kids from 10.30am to 1.30pm on Saturday.
Convenor Katie Abbott said they have organised the day to let people know about the bush and its historical significance.
"It's an important piece of heritage and it's important to get the kids involved," she said.
"It's got some really historic trees."
