While the front-runners in the race to be the first Super City mayor are neck and neck, polls show most voters are undecided as to who they will vote for.
In the interest of ensuring voters have the information needed to make an informed decision, the New Zealand Herald and nzherald.co.nz are hosting the Auckland Mayoral Debate tonight, with candidates Len Brown, John Banks, Andrew Williams and Colin Craig in the hot seats.
The debate will be streamed live at nzherald.co.nz and we will also be running live text updates of the candidates' responses.
The debate will be moderated by Herald on Sunday columnist Paul Holmes, and questions will be put to the four candidates by Herald business columnist Fran O'Sullivan, Herald Super City reporter Bernard Orsman and former Metro editor Bevan Rapson.
Troy Rawhiti-Forbes, nzherald.co.nz's social media and interactivity editor, will be putting questions to the candidates from our twitter followers, so voters have the opportunity to grill them on the issues that matter.
The debate will be split into three sections: Economic vision and infrastructure, transport, and democracy. Questions from the audience will also be put to the candidates throughout the evening.
Coverage of the Auckland Mayoral Debate begins at 6.30pm tonight.
