Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will speak to reporters on her way into the Tuesday Labour caucus meeting at Parliament this morning.
She is expected to give an update on the approaching storm, ex-cyclone Gita, which will hit the top of the South Island and bottom of the North Island later today.
She may also comment on the 1 News Colmar Brunton poll last night which put Labour (up nine points) to 48 per cent and well in front of National (down three) to 43 per cent, and herself as preferred Prime Minister on 41 per cent compared with outgoing National leader Bill English on 20 per cent.
