Auckland Mayor Len Brown is trumpeting new survey results showing employment is up, more people are taking public transport and literacy and numeracy levels have increased in his city.
However, youth unemployment and housing affordability remain glaring issues and Mr Brown's central policy of building a $2.86 billion Central City Rail Link is still being blocked by Government.
