Cambridge jockey Lisa Cropp, on the comeback trail in Australia after a suspension on a methamphetamine charge, is in Waikato Hospital after a freak accident.
Cropp was injured when a pony she was training for her teenage daughter ran through a fence railing and landed on her, Melbourne's Herald-Sun reported.
It was believed the incident happened at her farm in Cambridge.
It was confirmed this afternoon that Cropp was in Waikato Hospital. No information on her condition was available.
Cropp was suspended in June last year after testing positive to methamphetamine at a race meeting at Te Rapa on May 7, 2005.
The case dragged on for more than three years before she was found guilty and subsequently disqualified from racing for nine months, fined $7500 and ordered to pay $92,000 in costs.
Cropp had made a successful comeback in Victoria this spring, riding 12 winners in the past fortnight.
