Police are hunting a man after a Whangarei liquor store was robbed at knifepoint this morning.
The man walked into the Cactus Liquor Store in suburban Regent, brandished a knife and demanded money before leaving the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
He is described as Caucasian, in his early 20s, of medium build with a dark goatee beard and dark shoulder length hair.
He was wearing a black t-shirt, dark knee length shorts and white sandshoes, and had a green shirt tied around his head.
Police want to hear from anyone with information on the incident.
