Gunshots fired outside a Palmerston North liquor store yesterday may be gang related, police say.
Two shots were fired in what was believed to be a drive-by shooting outside The Mill Liquor Save in Grey Street around 7.20pm.
Police were not ruling out gang involvement, Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Sheridan of Palmerston North police said.
A man in a blue 4WD parked outside the store and got out of the vehicle and spoke to someone, Mr Sheridan said.
While he was standing outside, a vehicle drove past and fired two shots in his direction, he said.
The man refused to talk to police or make a statement when police arrived.
