Two licensed outlets sold liquor to under-aged volunteers in a police sting in the Hawke's Bay yesterday.
The operation covered Hastings, Clive and Havelock North areas and used two 17-year-olds, Sergeant Mike Stevenson, of Hastings police, said.
"Twelve premises licensed to sell liquor were visited, including off licence wholesalers, and on licensed bars.
"Two licensed premises - a bottle store and a bar - sold liquor to the volunteers."
Mr Stevenson said action would be taken against those premises.
