A liquor licensing hearing is underway at the Auckland District Court for adult entertainment barons the Chow brothers.
John and Michael Chow have filed two applications, one for a new onlicence for their Las Vegas Strip Club on Karangahape Rd and another for the renewal of an onlicence for their Mermaids Bar on Gore St.
The applications are opposed Jacqui Le Prou, owner of the Calendar Girls stripclubs, a competitor business.
Police and Auckland's medical officer of health have not opposed the applications.
Heavy suppression orders covering witnesses' submissions are in place until the end of the three-day hearing.
