Firefighters are helping to clean up a liquid mercury spill at a South Auckland medical centre.
The poisonous liquid metal spilled on the triage area floor at Manukau City Accident and Medical, on Bakerfield Place, about noon.
Fire Service northern communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said a hazardous materials unit was working with staff to clean up the spill.
He was not aware of any injuries.
Firefighters were waiting for staff from the Government labour group.
