Linda Isobel Arnold, 57, was driving along Colombo Street when the earthquake struck.
A grandmother of three, she was born in Te Puke and moved to Christchurch a few years ago.
She had two adult sons and three grandchildren.
Linda's friend Kaye Le Fleur wrote on a Facebook tribute page: "You will be sadly missed by family and friends - passed on to the arms of Jesus."
