Light pole blocks motorway

A light standard collapsed onto the Northwestern Motorway at Waterview late last night, blocking two lanes near the Great North Rd offramp.

Police said no one was injured when the pole crashed just before midnight, and Vector staff were on the way to clear the mess.

A motorist reported seeing a lot of glass spread across the lanes.
