Light plane crash in Bay of Plenty

A light plane has rolled and hit the ground at Pukehina, Bay of Plenty.

Police said there was one person onboard the aircraft.

A man in his early 70s sustained minor injuries.

Earlier today, at Raglan Airfield, there was another plane crash.

Northern fire communications centre shift manager Daniel Nicholson said they were alerted to the crash at 11.10am on Norrie Ave in the Waikato town.

The pilot escaped with minor injuries.
