A pilot suffered a cut to his arm after a microlight plane had a crash at Mercer Airfield today.
Colin Underdown of Northern Fire Communications said the crash was minor and the pilot was able to get out of the plane on his own.
"The pilot had a severe gash to his arm," he said.
"We've handed the patient over to ambulance."
