KEY POINTS:
Life parolee Hugh Dean Wickliffe, who was recalled to prison in March after he was arrested on drug and firearms charges, was back in court yesterday.
Wickliffe, 59, of Maketu, who was originally charged with unlawful possession of a pistol, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of cannabis plant and possession of cocaine for supply, appeared in Tauranga District Court to finalise his case going to a depositions hearing.
But his month police laid two new charges, one each of breaching the Medicines Act in relation to the alleged possession of the prescription-only drug ketamine in liquid form and alleged possession of the Class B controlled drug butanediol.
His case was adjourned for two weeks. He was further remanded in custody for another pre-depositions hearing on June 12.
