KEY POINTS:
The Employment Relations Authority has ruled that a Christchurch woman was unfairly dismissed from her job as a life coach and awarded her close to $20,000.
Lauren Allott worked for the Transition to Work Trust for nearly two years and was made redundant after the trust failed to obtain all the contracts it had tendered for in September last year.
Authority member James Crichton said the process leading up to Ms Allott's dismissal was "fatally flawed".
He ordered the trust to pay Ms Allott $11,000 in compensation and $7500 for loss of wages.
