A flurry of fur, feather, silk, satin and brightly painted faces whirled around the Wairarapa College hall during the full dress rehearsal of Bugsy Malone on Sunday night.
The entire script run-through included the orchestra, lighting crew, backstage crew and full cast.
The cast of 60 were in complete costume and make-up to prepare for the six-show season, which opens tomorrow.
