The lawyer representing Time Out skipper Ian Anderson, whose boat sank off the North Otago coast last year, says there is a possibility of a judicial review of the Maritime Safety Authority report into the boat's sinking.
But Oamaru lawyer Bill Dean said he would advise Mr Anderson the matter had to end at some point.
Three men died and Mr Anderson and Phil Edwards survived when Time Out sank on May 11 last year .
The authority recently released a report criticising the skipper for not returning to port earlier and for not providing easy access to lifejackets.
Mr Anderson said last week he did not accept the findings or the criticism.
Mr Dean himself was fishing on May 11 within 8km of the tragedy. He said the authority's report did not accord with his recollection of the sea conditions and the weather.
