An interpretive display in the form of a recreation of Camp Russell, at Paekakariki, November 1, in memory the 1st and 2nd divisions of the US Marine Corps, which camped there between June 1942 and October 1943. The divisions' casualties for the Pacific Campaign were 2795 killed and 9600 wounded.
