Lesley Martin awaits nursing verdict

Euthanasia campaigner Lesley Martin has to wait two weeks to find out if she can still call herself a nurse.

Martin appeared yesterday before the Nursing Council's professional conduct committee in Wellington, which is reviewing her nursing status following her conviction for the attempted murder of her terminally ill mother.

Martin acknowledged the council had been lobbied to de-register her.
