A 25-year-old driver led police on a lengthy, high-speed pursuit this morning in the Wairarapa.
The pursuit started at 5am in Masterton when the man did not stop for police, Inspector Paul Jermy said.
He drove for 30 minutes to Pahiatua, in northern Wairarapa, and reached speeds of
160km/h, he said.
The pursuit ended when police used road spikes.
The man was arrested and faces a number of charges in Masterton District Court.
