Kiwi rugby league international Ben Roberts immediately lodged an appeal after he was convicted in Sydney yesterday of drink-driving and banned from driving for three months.
The two-test Kiwi, aged 22, was pulled over by Sydney police on June 18 and recorded a breath alcohol reading of 0.03mg. While it was a minimal reading, learner drivers aren't permitted any alcohol in their system.
