Hurrell was off limits to the media at training yesterday but his teammates seemed be unaffected by the incident.
"It hasn't really been mentioned," said captain Simon Mannering.
"We haven't really talked about it," said Jayson Bukuya. "I don't know what happened ... I haven't listened to anything or been watching the news."
Senior forward Jacob Lillyman hoped perspective could be maintained on the issue.
"It is just one of those things; a young bloke has made an error of judgment and he let it fall into the wrong hands. I just hope that the people investigating it see it that way and obviously Konnie learns a lesson from it."
Coach Andrew McFadden, who named Hurrell in the starting line-up to face the Raiders on Saturday, said the incident was an unwelcome distraction for the team.
We have dealt with a lot of distractions over the last few months," said McFadden.
"We will get through it. It's probably embarrassing for Konrad but we all make mistakes and he made one and will have to live with the consequences."
