League man for Rotorua Council

Warriors' foundation chairman Peter McLeod has been appointed Rotorua District Council's new general manager of event venues.

A former chairman of Auckland Rugby League, he will start his new role next week and replaces Nick Dallimore who left last year.

Mr McLeod will also be responsible for the development and future operation of the $21 million Rotorua Energy Event Centre project.
