Plans for an international cooking school in New Zealand are on hold after a funding freeze and difficulties finding a site to build it on.
Le Cordon Bleu's vice president of Asia-Pacific development Rodger Griffiths said the school would not open in August, but would not comment further, the Dominion Post reported today.
Le Cordon Bleu and partner Universal College of Learning (UCOL), planned to build in Martinborough, until local objectors launched an Environment Court appeal.
A Wellington site was then sought for the five-star, 300-student school.
Le Cordon Bleu has 30 schools in 15 countries, attended by more than 18,000 students a year.
