Lawyer Rob Moodie has had a contempt of court case against former solicitor-general and now Court of Appeal judge Terence Arnold dismissed.
Deputy solicitor-general John Pike yesterday issued a stay of proceedings on Dr Moodie's application against Justice Arnold, ending the case before it was heard.
Dr Moodie had filed the contempt of court application against Justice Arnold for his part in a contempt of court allegation against Dr Moodie for publishing a court-suppressed report on the internet.
Dr Moodie said yesterday he was not surprised by the dismissal of his application. The judiciary "did not want the case to be heard", he told The Dominion Post.
Mr Pike said Dr Moodie's case was an "abuse of process".
