A sense of vindication for Wanganui mayor Michael Laws after a District Court judge upheld the council's anti gang patch bylaw.
The ban on all gang related insignia from the CBD, was passed in September last year.
Hells Angels member Bryan Vincent Moore was arrested for wearing a patch and the gang used the arrest as a test case for the bylaw. The case was brought before a judge in December and today, that judge has upheld the bylaw.
Mr Laws says this is a win for the 'good guys.' He says the decision should also silence the bylaw's critics.
