Law surprises British boaters

Yachting and marine trade associations have been taken by surprise by the decision by the United Kingdom to impose drink-drive restrictions on boaters.

The British Marine Industries Federation and the Royal Yachting Association both say the law will be difficult to enforce; they question whether the law will have any positive effect on boating safety.
