Wairarapa people wanting to be an official Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2011 volunteer have one last chance to secure a role.
A final round of interviews will be held in two sessions at Copthorne Hotel and Resort, Solway Park next Monday and Wairarapa RWC 2011 events co-ordinator Catherine Rossiter-Stead is confident of a big turnout through the interviewing times on this occasion.
Interviews will be held between 11.30am and 2pm, and 4.30pm and 6pm so as to allow those who missed out last time because of work commitments the opportunity of being interviewed outside normal working hours.
Rossiter-Stead said the volunteer scheme provided a once-in-a-life chance to play a key role in a major international sporting event.
Those keen to be volunteers could pick the area they would like to be involved in and training would be provided. Rossiter-Stead said the Wairarapa volunteers were expected to work at least seven days during the six-week tournament with a normal volunteer day ranging from four to 10 hours. Volunteers must be at least 17 years of age.
