A new automotive complex, completed in Silverdale, about 30km north of Auckland, and targeted at heavy vehicle service providers, has met with a strong response from tenants, and only one unit is left to lease in the development.
The Auto Centre has been built on a 6000sq m site at 7 Furnace Place, Silverdale, by Silverdale Estates and encompasses six separate premises, five of them already leased.
Leasing agent Rosemary Wakeman of Bayleys North Shore Commercial says Silverdale Estates recognised there was a gap in the market for a centre suitable for automotive trade businesses specialising in heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses and other commercial transport which have different certification and servicing requirements to motor cars.
"The development has been specifically designed so it can cater for heavy truck and trailer units with the site providing full drive-through-and-around capability," says Wakeman. "The diverse tenant mix that the auto centre has attracted provides a 'one-stop shop' for both commercial and private vehicles and includes vehicle testing, mechanical, auto electrical, tyre and air-conditioning providers."
