Two years after a large police operation in Hamilton to reduce crime in what was described as the country's "burglary capital", the last of the offenders to be arrested has been sentenced in court.
Operation Forest contributed to a sharp drop in the number of reported crimes in Hamilton, with 29 arrests, predominantly of criminals linked to the Waikato chapter of the Mongrel Mob, police said.
