A laser beam struck an Air New Zealand pilot in the eye while flying into Blenheim last night.
Police said they were still trying to identify the source of the laser.
It is believed the beam came from the suburb of Whitney but police still don't know the definitive point from where it was shone.
Blenheim police confirmed the pilot was struck in the eye but said the aircraft landed without any problems.
Police are encouraging anyone who has further information to contact them.
