A large house fire in west Auckland this afternoon has been brought under control.
The Fire Service received multiple calls about the fire about 4pm at Hanui Place in Massey.
Communications centre shift manager Steve Smith said four appliances were required to put out the blaze in the two-storey town house block.
One firefighter injured an Achilles heel but all other people at the scene were safe and well.
The fire was under control about 5.20pm. Fire safety officers were investigating the cause.
