A large fire has ripped through a classroom at Dargaville High School in Northland this morning.
Fire Communications spokeswoman Tania Matthews says neighbours made multiple 111 calls just before 3am. When firefighters arrived, the roof of a classroom was well alight.
Ms Matthews says crews managed to get the fire under control fairly quickly. It is not believed to be suspicious.
