Sixty firefighters were this afternoon battling a blaze at a fibreglass boat builders in Hamilton.
The Fire Service was called to Tristram Marine in Te Rapa Park industrial area at 3.05pm, northern fire communications shift manager Scott Osmond said.
The blaze had been "well involved", threatening $8m worth of boats, but was now under control, he said.
Fourteen appliances and 60 firefighters were on site.
"It's now under control but we'll still be there for many hours yet," he said.
No one was injured in the blaze.
